In 2009, Chile + Hoy signed an agreement with Fundación Las Rosas, which puts its will into action to collaboratively manage Long-Term Care Homes, focusing on good treatment, comprehensive care for the elderly and the right to age with dignity. Under this agreement, the Padre Pío Home was built, an establishment that opened its doors to the Valdivia community in 2011, offering accommodation, food, care, affection and spiritual accompaniment with capacity for 102 senior citizens. In the admission process, the people most in need are prioritised as their health, poverty and/or condition of abandonment may leave them with no alternative.
